Jessicurl Rockin' Ringlets

Jan 13, 2010 - I think this product is confusing to some, because it's not a gel or for hold really. It's mainly for curl formation and best paired with Confident Coils. I think of it as a styling "aid" to a gel. I rake this through my hair before blot drying after washing and follow it with Confident Coils. My hair loves this, and I have been out of it for two weeks and already can tell the difference without using it. My hair is not as curly without it. Must reorder asap. Also, I think it's meant to be super thin, so it doesn't add extra weight to your hair when you pair it with Confident Coils.

Jessicurl Too Shea! Extra Moisturizing Conditioner

Jan 13, 2010 - This is the perfect conditioner for my 2c/3a curls. Like all other Jessicurl products, I don't need much so I really get a lot of life out of this conditioner (and my hair is long, shoulder blade-length), and even add water with it sometimes if my hair isn't particularly dry. I'm not sure about the other comment about the scent leaving, it's been two days since I washed my hair and it still smells like Island Fantasy goodness. Maybe that's because I use all Jessicurl products from shampoo to styling. Love it.

Jessicurl Gentle Lather Shampoo

Jan 13, 2010 - I tend to get oily roots pretty quickly, and the Hair Cleansing Cream wasn't enough for me. My ends are still dryer than my roots, but this shampoo was just right -- oil gone from my roots and doesn't dry out my ends. I follow with Too Shea! Conditioner, and it's a wonderful hair day.

V Vegaz - St. Louis, Missouri, United States

Dec 02, 2009 - Helen is an awesome and cool girl. I went to her after reading the reviews on this site, and I was glad; so glad. I only get my hair cut by her and I'm only in St. Louis twice a year. After not having my hair cut in almost two years, because of fear of getting a hack job, the first time I went to Helen she explained everything she was doing as she did it. My curls usually have good formation, so of course I got the same formation, but my hair was more consistent, balanced, and shiny! I felt like my hair was more of a collaboration between her and I, as I was talking about what I wanted, giving her ideas of what to do, getting her feedback, and then she would execute accordingly. This kind of collaboration with a stylist really opens your eyes to how it should be with a stylist. It shouldn't be one minute of, "This is what I want." Then the stylist goes to work without anymore feedback as they talk about your day. It made me really aware of how important it is to have a stylist who you can still keep giving feedback on what you want while they are in mid-cut. It's your hair. It's okay to ask questions or change some plans during the haircut. Also, she always seemed happy to go through this routine, as she was never frustrated with my continuous questions and feedback. She just replied or asked a question to make sure we were on the same page. She's really a nice girl who knows what she's doing with curly hair. I can't wait to go back to St. Louis in two weeks to have my hair cut again by her.
