Aug 28, 2011 - I tried this for the first time today. I am in a transition period right now. Its my first thirty days going natural. I have been using the Devacurl line and although I like the concept behind it, it does not appear to be working for me like it does for others. Some days it's great, others are not and I can NEVER get a second day out of it. I saw the rave reviews for this and I just had to try it. I wasn't going to comment until I saw what my hair looks like tomorrow but I couldn't wait! I already feel the difference. I didn't use the whole line as I have too much of the expensive Devacurl products. I co-washed & conditioned but instead of leaving the conditioner in, I washed it all out with cold water and squeezed out the excess water. Next I sectioned my hair into eighths and added a pea sized amount of kckt to each section and brushed thru with fingers. next I added a nickle sized amount of angell to the same section, racking thru with fingers and then scrunching. worked my whole head this way and let air dry. My hair feels so soft and light. I didn't even have to break the gel cast like I would have before when leaving in the one condition! The curls are defined and almost frizz free! Best of all my hair doesn't feel coated (yet). I'll see what it looks like tomorrow. The ONLY reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 curls is because it does EXACTLY what it says it will do...it elongated my curls into waves. I had started getting my curls back after 15+ years of straightening. I think I just used too much for my fine curls and next time I Will us less, but this is definitely staying part of my routine. I love it!!!!!
