Doo Gro Jamaican Black Castor Oil

Apr 27, 2016 -

I love that Doo Gro Jamaican Black Castor Oil is nice and thick. It is unscented which is fine and it doesn't stink, but it does have a distinctive natural scent and I wondered what my hair would smell like after putting it in, but my hair smelled fine! It comes in a small glass bottle which I prefer to plastic. The opening seemed a little wide and I was afraid it might spill, but I had no issue because the oil is thick so it doesn't come out too fast.
I love how smooth my hair felt even the next few days after using the oil, but it didn't feel greasy! It also helped with detangling. I think I will keep this oil as a staple for my hair.

Dippity-Do Girls with Curls Curl Defining Cream

Mar 28, 2016 -

The Curl Defining Cream has a GREAT scent and a very light texture. It comes out of the bottle a little fast - it would be nice if the hole was just a tad smaller - just make sure you don't squeeze too hard. I used the Curl Defining Cream in combination with the Curl Shaping Gelee for a flat twist-out and they worked together great! My style held well and I loved how full and soft my curls were. I also used the combination on my daughter's hair (3c) except with hers I just washed it and combed it with a wide-tooth comb, then worked the products through and put it in one long twist for a couple hours. Once I took it out, her curls looked great! She wore her hair out and it was very full (her hair is kind of thin) and the curls were adorable and well-defined.

Dippity-Do Girls with Curls Curl-Boost Spray

Mar 28, 2016 -

The Curl Boost Spray has a great scent and I love that I don't have to shake it up every time. It did add shine to my curls, but left my hair a little sticky for longer than I would have liked. This is a good refresher for the mornings when you're in a hurry to get out of the door - normally, I would spray my hair with water, then run some oil or gel through it - this eliminates a step. For my hair, I wouldn't use it every single day, but a couple times a week works well.
