DevaCurl Set It Free

Nov 26, 2011 - If the entire Deva line were actors in a movie, this was Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon. All the other guys were playing bad cop, robo cop, and terminator, frying, tazing, and shellshocking my hair. This creme was a good sport, and relieved most of the dreading problem when only using this and One Condition. The only thing is that I don't think I was able to use this to it's full advantage for how much better my hair could be moisturized with an excellent conditioner. I had to apply this product twice a day - but it leaves me with superb 2nd, even 3rd day hair most times. It leaves my hair soft and touchable, but hard to detangle in the shower which I think is mostly a problem with One Condition. It gave me just the perfect spirals & waves I could ever want buuuut I could use a bit more shine. It didn't weigh my hair down terribly, I was able to leave clips at the roots of my hair for 15 minutes as it air dried & trusted that it wouldn't drop. This is also the best 2nd/3rd day curl refresher I've ever used. I also unscrew the spritz cap & pour a quarter size amount 3 different times as I scrunch my hair with it so it gets used up faster than it's intended I think.

DevaCurl B'Leave-In

Nov 26, 2011 - "I'll Be Leavin you anywhere but in my hair." This did nothing for hydrating my hair, and I felt it may have even contributed to what AnGel was doing to try and convert me into a trustafarian.I bought this product and used the entire contents twice, switching between different DevaCurl products to rule this out as a culprit. So yes, me tinks tis product not workin.

DevaCurl Light Defining Gel (formerly AnGEL)

Nov 26, 2011 - In the 90's split ends were fixed using a high concentrated super glue called LA Gear. The second cousin and ex-convict of "Los AnGeles Gear", this took me back to borrowing your dads Flannel button ups, "No Scrubs", and stuffed converses. Years later, people slowly began to put together the correlation between LA GEAR & hair strands parting ways, dooming all hair to a high-top ponytail / facelift prison. Word on the street now is AnGel, has made a second coming... and it's in this bottle, asking to borrow some money, ese. At first this seemed to work pretty darn well. My hair was well defined, soft & it really did wonders for accentuating my random, spiral curls and taming frizz. After a while I noticed the bottom ends of my hair began dreading. The ends of my hair became dry. I had to cut pieces of my hair more times then Jessica and that gum "incident(s)" in 2nd grade. I was using only DevaCurl products at the time, clarifying every two weeks, then every week, and deep conditioning to no avail. I started to eliminate all my products until this product was the one left standing. I gave it a pretty good star review here because I truly believe there's probably a single ingredient in here that's doing it for me. I feel in a way - it's not entirely their fault for my picky hair who clearly has a mind of it's own.
