Apr 22, 2014 - Initially upon first using this leave-in, I was sorely disappointed. But I kept seeing this product pop up everywhere so I decided to do some more research on how to better utilize the product. And let me tell you, YOU MUST USE THE RIGHT SYSTEM FOR THIS PRODUCT TO WORK. Before, I was like the majority of other people who left reviews here and I got the same results as them. So I got samples of the other mixed chick products and added my own deep conditioner into the system, then put the leave-in on my hair and pinned it in sections over night. So I used the deep conditioner, the shampoo & the leave-in & I woke up with lovely, soft, manageable hair with nicely formed curls. When you don't use this product the right way, it will produce lackluster results. This product is also super dense, so a little bit goes a LONG WAY. A lot of people here are complaining about it leaving their hair sticky/flaky with residue, this is because too much product is probably being used. I have a TON of hair and only needed 2 quarter size amounts to double coat my whole head. It has a slightly coco butter scent, which isn't too bad. The system balances out everything so that it strips your hair of everything and adds a heap of moisture and definition, so without the proper enrichment, you're not going to get all the benefits from this product. So choose carefully and be ready to have all supplements necessary if you're going to invest in this pricey leave-in. It's a great alternative if you don't want to use foam/gels anymore to revive your curls.

Apr 22, 2014 - Been wanting to try this for ages so I finally picked up a sample at my local beauty mart and overall, I was pleased, but not super impressed. What the company should really call this is a *clarifying* shampoo, because that's exactly how it acted. It did a great job at completely stripping all the product buildup from my hair. However, it left no moisture whatsoever and as many other reviews here stated, left hair a bit dry. Definitely MUST use a deep conditioner when using this product. The smell is great, it reminds me of baby shampoo. For everyone complaining about the price, a little bit goes a LONG way. I got a rich lather from a quarter size amount. May be expensive, but the quality is definitely there.
Apr 21, 2014 - Yesterday I stopped by the Beauty supply to pick up Dark and Lovely Au Naturale Curl Defining Creme Glaze but that store didn't carry it so I picked up this instead. Overall, it's an average product. I knew it wouldn't provide any hold really (seeing as it's a pudding people!) so I put this as a moisturizer under my setting foam in order to provide the missing hold. And it wasn't bad. My curls definitely feel soft, and the scent is nice. It's really just a basic product, not a bad thing to have in your arsenal for $7 for when you need some nicely scented moisture in your hair. And for all the people saying it left your hair white/flakey, you're using too much product. This pudding is thick, a little goes a long way!
