Kinky-Curly Spiral Spritz Natural Styling Serum

Aug 23, 2010 - I saw this product at my local Target store (FINALLY, they're carrying the Kinky Curly line...) It's okay, I guess. It seems to have good detangling ability; however, you need too much of the product to use it as a refresher for second-day hair. I have not tried it on soaking wet hair, but it seems that the product would not provide enough weight or moisture to sufficiently tame my thick, dry,and frizzy strands. I couldn't really detect any smell from this product. I do like the way it smooths the hair. I'd just have to use too much of it in order to achieve the desired look, and this wouldn't be very economical. I suppose if you resign yourself to using another product over the spiral spritz, this product has potential. I'm on the fence about repurchasing.

Darcy's Botanicals Pumpkin Seed Moisturizing Conditioner

Aug 08, 2010 - Really nice conditioner. Not so crazy about the pumpkin smell, but I wouldn't classify it as "overpowering" either. This conditioner is very rich, not greasy, and uber moisturizing. Slip factor is pretty high. My only complaints are the price and the fact that you get so little product. I could easily go through a bottle a week (more if used exclusively). Budget-conscious curlies may wish to use this as a deep treatment. If your tresses are stressed and parched, look no further than this conditioner. Hard to find this kind of moisture and slip in a cone-free condish.

Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner

Jul 26, 2010 - I was really excited to try this. Okay, I'll admit it: I drove two towns over just to pick some up at a GNC store. Totally not impressed. The smell was just awful, although I might have been able to overlook the scent if it actually worked as well for me as everyone else. It's too thick in the bottle, and when it finally does come out, it doesn't seem thick enough. I didn't seem to get the slip everyone else raves about. Putting this on my hair was comparable to putting a thin layer of sickeningly sweet-smellng Crisco on my head in the shower. Not happy with the results.
