Jan 10, 2015 - Provides a light hold and good definition. It is good on those days I just want beachy waves a la Alexa Chung and her 'chop' hair cut. It also works nicely in combo with Spiralicious.

Jan 10, 2015 - Defines my waves well without weighing them down and provides good hold to the second day. It is a bit sticky though and the crunch doesn't always go away. It works best when I use Gelebration spray all over to encourage wave and this on the bottom third. It's in close competition with Wella Elastic Energy Curl Enhancing Mousse, which I think is now Boost Bounds Curl Enhancing Mousse. Those don't have entries here though.
Jan 16, 2014 - Works great for my 2b/c curls if I want them ropier, more spirally than say Devacurl Gel. I like it better than Re:Coil, because there's no crunch. I've found the trick is to wrap my hair in a microfibre towel after I've squeezed the water out, but without combing or crunching. Keep it on about 10 minutes then put this stuff on. Second-day hair isn't as great, but I've not really found anything that is with my fine but thick hair.

This salon just opened but I went to Chantal at Scissors in the Market before. She's a talented stylist who takes the time to listen and talk through what would work for your hair. The first time she cut my hair dry to see how it falls. She's also really nice regardless of whether you're a regular client. The first time I went to her at Scissors was because I couldn't see my regular stylist, which I told her. She still remembered me when I went back even though she could have easily brushed me off.
Jan 05, 2014 - I went here when visiting the area because I'd read they do the Deva cut (dry cutting method). Laurie was great. She explained everything she was doing and the differences between Deva and a regular cut. I'd go back when I visit the area again.
Jan 05, 2014 - I visited my family in the area and thought I'd check this place out because it uses the Deva cutting method. (Can't find a place in ottawa that does but found 3 in KW.) It is a dry cutting method during which the stylists works the layers from the bottom up. I'm happy with it. Laurie did great with my fine, wavy hair -- no triangle or globe head. I'll likely go back my next visit.
