Volume is here to stay in the form of teased tresses and the coiffed bouffant. While the coiffed bouffant is reserved for special occasions and elegant gatherings, the messy wave craze is more practical and can be worn on an everyday basis. Teased tresses were seen all along the runway, and the best part is—they’re natural! If you’ve got natural waves that love to twirl in the wind, let them. Disheveled locks are being worked on the runway all over the globe, and now on the streets.
Braids
If you prefer the neat look over the tousled locks, braids might be a perfect match for you. Models at New York City Fashion Week were wearing braids in a variety of styles—thick, thin, elegant or casual. Braids are a great way to fix the hair without putting too much effort into styling. Try styling your braid to the side, down the back, or braid little strands that you can pin up like a crown.
Be Creative! Be You!
Try mixing and matching different styles. Combine what you like and leave what you don’t. Try a messy braid, or a bob without the waves. You just might love punky—a pixie cut with fringed bangs. Whatever style you decide to pick up, make sure it’s you!
