Would NOT recommend this stylist to anyone. Colossal waste of $190. I went to her based on her good reviews and I literally cried the entire ride home. She did not listen to what I wanted for my hair, and instead decided herself what would look good. She stripped my hair of the highlights I already had, and insulted the way they had been put in. And the haircut...was terrible. I came in with a long "pyramid" shape and I left with a short one, covered in frizz. When I asked her to fix it up a little bit, she stated it was from damage I had already inflicted upon it. She then went on to recommend styling products from Suave or LA Looks that I could find at WalMart, as I was a mother of 2 toddlers and the Curlisto products she sells "were probably not in my budget." Funnily enough I don't remember discussing the account balance in my checking account for her to make such an astute observation. Her loss, because I am the EASIEST sell when it comes to salon hair products. Lastly - and best - when I emailed her later that night telling her how disappointed I was, she apologized and offered future hair services. I told her I preferred at least a partial refund, and she flat out refused. It wasn't a total waste of 2 hours, though - I got to listen to how she's an aspiring erotic novel author and her extensive advice on which raunchy books I should read. Slightly uncomfortable and way unprofessional. Find another stylist. ANYONE else.

Only went to her once. I told her I needed to keep it long, to weigh my hair down (I have tight curls, fine hair, but lots of it) and keep it from getting "poofy" because I hate poofy. She took off three inches (claiming it was damaged) and I left looking like Shirley temple. I told her I liked soft curls, not scrunchy. I left with stiff straw hair that I had to rewash. The cut is okay, but I have to straighten it now in order to not look like a childish curly bob. And I have a huge hunk of hair that is shorter in the back (she said "soft face framing layers that will make you look like a movie star"... yeah, a 5 yr old movie star from the 1930s and my "face" is not in the back of my head). She talked my ear off and doesn't seem to listen very well. I mentioned the experience to a friend, without mentioning her name, and my friend guessed who she was straight out. Guess she has a reputation for chatter. For $100, I would have expected a more professional experience.

I was in St. Petersburg for business (from Montana) and had Cynthia cut my hair. I have had others cut my hair using the dry cut method and have not been that happy with it. Cynthia evaluated my curl type and recommended a wet cut based on her assessment and training. It was the best haircut I've ever had!! I wish I could go back every time I'm ready for a haircut.....any desire to move to Montana Cynthia? Thanks for a great haircut and for teaching me how to care for my curls!

Four months ago I was traumatized by a new hairdresser who gave me the worst color and cut of my adult life. I was actually afraid to go to another salon, despite the fact that I had 4 months of roots. I saw an article about Cynthia in the newspaper and decided to try. So I drove longer than I had even driven for a hair salon...it was worth the trip. Cynthia gave great tips and walked me through everything that she did. And my hair looks great! I have found a new salon!

Can you remember the first time you paid a visit to your current stylist? I do and with good reason: I had my first haircut by Cynthia in January 2007, and I remember the date clearly because it truly was a life changing experience! In fact, when January nears I often tease Cynthia that "our anniversary is coming up." As a curly girl born in '71, I grew up watching Charlie's Angles, the Love Boat and then MTV. And, like many girls of my age, I tried my hardest to copy the hairstyles of the TV icons of the day. Sadly, curly hair does not do the "Farah". And, when you factor in the humidity of my Florida home, well... you can imagine the disaster that was my hair. Two words: curly mushroom! As I got older, I learned a few things to help me manage my 'do, but I was certainly not proud of my curly locks. So, since that fateful day in January when I heeded the advice of a friend and paid a visit Cynthia, I have never looked back nor has my hair has ever looked better! Cynthia is my "hairy" godmother! She introduced me to products designed for curls, taught me how to use them, told me to shampoo less (a lot less!), condition more and gave me a hair cut that made me stand straighter, instantly lose 20 lbs , and allowed me to (FINALLY!) feel beautiful and excited about my curls. And, better than a fairy godmother, her magic didn't end at midnight. Cynthia still continues to be my "go-to" stylist and better yet, has become a friend. She now cuts my six-year-old daughter's hair, my three-year-old son's hair, my husband's hair (yes, we are a curly family!) and if anyone should ever ask me who does my hair, I gladly tell them they must see Cynthia. So, here's to you Cynthia - thanks for making everyday a good hair day!

Plus she is always willing to accomodate whenever I change my mind on what I want and that happens quite often. LOL! The Ouidad carve and slice has done wonders for my hair. I was a little skeptical at first at what it would do (bad memories of thinning shears and razoring) but it has been great. It allowed me to get a really sharp and awesome angle on my bob while eliminating the heaviness and really showcasing my curls. Love it! Cynthia rocks! I recommend her to everyone! :0)

I truly think that Cynthia does know curls being a curly girl herself. I absolutely love the new Jessi Curl products that she turned me on to. With that said though I wasn't crazy about the cut or color that she created for me. Too many blunt layers around my face that werent'graduated has given me "ears" and the color turned out a little too orangey which she said would lighten up in the Florida sun eventually. She is a super fun girl to talk to but I'm frustrated about growing out these layers once again!

This was my third visit with cynthia for highlights and there is no doubt in my mind that she is a GENIUS with color. She does 'custom-made highlights' and I swear it has made the biggest difference in my hair. Unlike other stylist who just follow the generic foil highlight procedure, row after row, top to bottom, side to side with no real thought of where they're placing the highlights, Cynthia stratigically places them according to the curl pattern. Trust me, I've been highlighting my hair for 23 years with a very long memory of my results and these are the BEST I've had. At 39, my skin is begining to show my age and cynthia's color brings out the best in my skin tone which has never happened before because the blond color was never quite right for my complexion. She also gave me a FANTASTIC hair cut. I only wanted a trim, no more then 1 inch taken off and she managed to do that while giving me long layers at the same time, my hair is still the same long length but with more body!!!! She is amazing!!!! If you live in florida or even if you don't, jump on a southwest airline, they're cheap, and go see her. Her salon is only 10 minutes from the airport, a straight drive on one highway, exit, 2 turns and you're there.
