I found Chad through this website. I've been to him twice. I had the same problems-- hairstylists who did not seem to understand how to cut curly hair and/or stylists who did not seem to listen to what I wanted. The first time I went, I told him I didn't want much cut off, but I needed my hair healthier. I left very happy with my cut.
Today was my second cut, and I asked him for some ideas for my hair. We decided to put layers back in and I love my hair! He took as much off as I wanted and my hair looks great. He really does understand curly hair and I've been extraordinarily happy with both visits.

I have had some very bad cuts from stylists who "think" they know how to cut naturally curly hair. So I have been growing out problems with my butchered long hair. I have been so afraid to let anyone touch my hair until I was recommended to call Clive & CO. I went for a consultation with Chad, he was so nice and understanding and listened to my concerns and issues. He said my hair had been hacked badly in the past he could. But he gave a me a good cut to clean up the mess, he talked through everything he was doing and gave me the opportunities to make decisions before he did anything. He wanted me to be happy but also told me what would be best for my hair. He did a nice job. It will probably take another cut or 2 to get the problem spots out but I was very happy with Chad and his cut. I think I have finally found someone who I can trust and really understand naturally curly hair. Even though he has short hair now, he said he used to have long hair and that it's naturally curly too. Give Chad a shot, I have not had this much peace about a cut since I moved from Washington DC 3 years ago and have had to leave my stylist I love.
