Background: I have 2a/2B type wavy hair, and until I found Fan (at her previous salon) I had to blowdry or flatiron to style my unstylish waves. A couple years ago she cut my hair in a layered short style and I was free! Airdrying her cuts left me with more style and more time!
Recently I challenged her to keep the waves and low maintenance as I grew my hair down to my shoulders, and she has done it perfectly! She really listens, and thinks about how to achieve a unique cut that gives you what you want. I've loved every cut she has given me over the years. When she moved from a Palo Alto salon to Los Gatos (a bit of a drive for me), I tried several other salons, including one that got rave reviews here, but I had to give up and accept the long drive to Los Gatos, cause no one can work with waves like Fan. Expensive, but not as expensive as getting my hair cut and recut because I hate it! Her cuts grow out beautifully, so it make them very reasonable. Because I live quite a distance from her new salon in Los Gatos, she also showed me the best way to trim my fringe/ bangs so I can minimize trips into the salon. Don't know how she does with curlier hair, but for wavies who want maximum waves and minimum maintenance, she is brilliant!
