The first time I went, I had a great experience. I read the below reviews and made an appointment with Karen. It was great- love love love! The cut and experience was off the charts. I went back a year later to see Karen and she really seemed to rush through. Maybe she was having a bad day, but when you're paying $100 you don't want it to affect the quality of your cut and treatment.i I had the devacut, but now they have a deva express for only $60- and I may try the other guy who also does it next time

Stylist: Keya

Keya is awesome! I am new to the area & never had my mixed, highly textured hair treated. Keya gave me an amazing hair cut (on which I'm getting multiple compliments!). She also gave me my first Basic smoothing treatment. The Basic treatment, in itself, has been great, but Keya's friendliness, extensive knowledge, and professionalism was such a welcome surprise during my first visit to Mixed Elements! I would definitely recommend Mixed Elements and HIGHLY recommend Keya for your next cut and hair treatment!!

Stylist: Karen

Karen is a gem! I went to her for a Deva cut (my second, my first was at another salon) and she took her time getting to know me and my hair before cutting. She asked a lot of questions and discussed options with me. She did cut it dry and the shape of the cut turned out really well. I've been using the Deva products and talked about my routine and products. She still walked through the three step cleansing/care routine and I think that was very helpful. This is my new stylist. She's definitely a keeper.

Searched for a salon in my area who had stylists certified in cutting & styling hair with the Deva Concepts (DevaCurl) method. The only salon near me was Mixed Elements; they have two stylists who can "DevaCurl" your hair. I made an appt for my daughter (type 3b/c) with Karen. Lucky us! She did a super job, and my daughter is back in love with her curly mane. The entire Deva Cut process took about 1.5 hours, and cost $90. Curly hair is cut DRY, curl-by-curl, then styled. The money and time spent is COMPLETELY worth it. I am making an appt with Karen, for the same Deva Curl process, as soon as I can. If you're not familiar with the Deva concept, research it. It's legit, and Mixed Elements can deliver it to you.
