I loved this product for a couple of years. It gave my curls nice volume and definition, but after awhile I noticed my scalp was itching like mad and found out it was this process.

Does the job by far compared to any other moose that I have tried; HOWEVER, very very sticky and will make your curls crunchy. Use it, if it is all that you have, but would recommend finding something else long term. I have stopped using this and refuse to purchase.

I love this mousse. It smells nice. Really nice curls. I do wish it would hold my curls longer -- my hair starts to frizz by the end of the day.

This mousse dries out my hair & doesn't do much if anything for the curl. It definitely doesn't have hold.

I bought this from my hairdresser who loves Joico and ARTec. It has hold good enough for me and can combat some frizz, but not all. The only problem I find is the little frizz and what happens if there is too much on one spot.

Great mousse. Awesome hold and great curls. Does dry scrunchy, so I avoid the roots. I normally use JCS N&S to scrunch out the crunch. It works great. This is one of my dependable products that I use when I really want consistent results. Also nice that it is so readily available; you don't have to order it online. Is available at many drug stores and some grocery stores as well as beauty supply stores.

I am a mousse girl, and this is definitely the best mousse I have ever used. It is pricey, but a little goes a long way (especially for my fine, thin 3a hair), so price is worth it for me. Only needs to set for 10-15 minutes, then I diffuse and hair is practically frizz-free and defined. In a pinch on vacation last week I touched up with water the next day and still looked great!!

Maybe I am missing something. I tried this product and it was horrible. It was sticky and make my hair flake. I only used it once and will never use it again.

Excellent mousse. This product has helped transform my once frizzy unruly hair into lovely waviness. Even after sleeping in this stuff, it holds the wave and my hair still looks great the next day. I find that if I apply too much, my hair is slightly crunchy, but nothing a few good scrunches won't cure. Thanks to all the reviewers before me who turned me on to this product!

After trying biolage gelee all last week to very less-than-stellar reviews, I got Joiwhip this week and Wow! It's crazy how many people have commented on how pretty my hair is this week. So I guess I can't argue with that. Defined curls, very spring-y and boing-y. I put in the biolage leave in conditioner and comb through sopping hair, put hair in towel, get dressed, scrunch one handful of mousse into my (shoulder-length) hair, shake head several times, scrunch in another handful of mousse, then do the upside down blowdry while still scrunching. I don't diffuse, blow dry to about 90% dry, then scunch out any crunchiness when it's completely dry. It also still has bounce and definition on day 2. Good product.

I'm so glad to see so many favorable reviews of this product. I've been using this for over 10 years! I have tried many other products and I always come back to this. It holds like a gel, not quite as crunchy and seems to cover more hair, clumping more curls. I would love to have softer curls(less crunch), but I would rather have control. I often follow this with Kenra spray gel in the summer for a little more control.

This product is by far the best I have tried. I've tried everything from Aveda to Miss Jessies products and nothing compares to the hold and curl definition that I have seen with this product. And you don't even need that much and its soft as you apply even during wash you could feel that it doesn't leave your hair dry like the other products I tried.

I really liked this stuff and I have never been a fan of mousse because it seems to dry my hair out and make it crunchy. This dried a lot quicker than gel but it still made my hair soft and defined with plenty of volume.

I was actually disappointed in this product. I would like to say that it had no impact at all, because my hair was still as frizzy and undefined as before, but sadly, I felt this product actually made my hair worse. Rather than undefined clumps of curls, I instead had stringy threads of undefined frizz. What a mess!

I love this mousse. I usually use gel. It really helps curl formation & even feels like it adds moisture. I haven't found anything to mix with it for more hold, but I love this product & found it thanks to all of you.

... i think that i dint get good definition because my hair is damaged from heat styling and my haircut separates the curls. so my point is, this mousse is fantastic if you have the right cut and healthy hair.

Great mousse, very moisturising. Can be a little bit crunchy, or a lot crunchy if you use too much, but I've found that if I thin it down with a bit of water it cuts down on the crunch factor.

I've really tried to like this product -- it does smell great -- but it leaves my hair stringy, dirty looking & feeling. Basically, it seems to heavy for my hair. I've tried using the smallest amounts possible but it still leaves my hair stringy...and the rest fuzzy & undefined. I really need to find a good mousse/product that doesn't weigh my hair down but defines my curls.

I tried this mousse for the first time today. I mixed it with Joigel to give my 3a hair a volume/curl formation combination, and it worked really well. Smells great too (citrusy, clean scent)!!! Highly recommended for fine haired curlies.

I like this product for my fine, very thin 2a/3a shoulder length hair. Gives great body with no crunch and little frizz. However, doesn't give quite enough definition for 4 curls. I would recommend and buy again.

I love this mousse, but it's getting harder to find in my area. It gives me nice soft ringlets and if I use Nexxus Versastyler over it, my hair has almost no frizz. Plus, I can spritz with water the next day and it still looks decent!

Outrageously WONDERFUL product!!! I have been using Joico ICE Whip for about 2 years now and it is by far, my most favorite mousse. I do use quite a bit of it and apply it to individual sections (like a gel). It gives me the most defined, shiny, clumpy, moisturizied curls! It rivals the kind of curl accentuation/definition that Jessicurl RR provides, but in a mousse form. It's CG friendly too... no silicones.

I too went out and bought this mousse after seeing all the great reviews it got, but I ended up returning it after a couple of tries. It made my hair and scalp feel dirty and itchy. I felt like I had alot of build-up when I used it. It had a nice smell though, and probably one the best mousses out there, if you like to use mousse. It just didn't work for me though. :(

I was really disappointed in this product. After seeing all of the hype i decided to purchase this mousse. It did not provide good curl definition and my hair was still poofy like an afro. I had to layer it with pomade to get some texture in my hair other wise it would have been just like adding water. This mousse is no different from any other mouse that i've used, just more expensive. it was definately not worth it for my hair type. 3c-4b. :(

SO great! I combine this with Biolage curl defining creme and get the softest prettiest curls. It's definitely a staple to have in a curly girl's cabinet! (And it's not drying like other mousses).

This was the first mousse I had used in a long time since I'm typically a gel kinda gal, it gave me fantastic curls that I hadn't seen in my hair in a long time although as the weather started warming up, it began to make my hair look stringy. It's a great product for the spring, but it didn't work for me in the summer.

It seems I am one of the few that doesn't like this, but I really tried. It smells great, but it just doesn't work for me. I tried it on wet hair, damp hair and mixed with other styling products and it consistently left my hair pouffy (sp?) (3b/a, medium textured & thickness).

Really liked this product for my wavy hair that has a few curls on the top layer. Good hold. I've been using it in the late spring so I'm not sure how it holds up in the heat yet. I do have to scrunch out the crunch after it dries. Will most likely buy again.

I have 3a/3b fine (as said before even though its fine, a lot of it) color treated hair. I use this first and then when partially dry add a little spin control (redken). Great curl formation when allow to air dry. Frizzes if I use a diffuser, probably due to damaged hair.

I was reluctant to try this because every mousse I tried dried my hair and left it crunchy. This is different. Makes even my wavy top layer very curly. Takes a while to dry. Appears crunchy, but only while my hair is wet. When completely dry, I have soft springy curly with no frizz and the perfect amount of volume.

I had great results with this... Very moisturizing. It revived my hair and it made my hair feel healthy. I needed a stronger hold... so if I used a spray gel along with it, I probably would have liked it more. I LOVE the citrusy smell... reminds me of those half and half ice cream bars (orange and cream)! YUM!
