This Saturday is the 3rd annual Nappiology Expo taking place in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The day-long event runs from 9 AM to 7 PM and features a program chock full of good natural hair advice taught by the experts. Topics include hair loss, sisterlocking, locing, developing a plant-based grocery store regimen as well as a Hair Rules workshop lead by Hair Rules owner Anthony Dickey himself! Not to mention there will definitely be lots of great vendors for you to stock up on all your natural needs.
Treasure Our Tresses (Chicago”>
Chicagoland naturalists will have their opportunity to hobnob with NaturalChica at Edens BodyWorks presents Treasure our Tresses on Saturday, November 5. On Sunday, November 13, Felicia Leatherwood is finally hosting one of her famed Loving Your Hair with Natural Care workshops on her home turf of Los Angeles. She has been traveling around the world educating natural women about their hair and gracefully instilling and inspiring a sense of self-confidence and pride in hundreds of women during this workshop. Yes, please. That’s what I said when organizer Tonya of New Naturalista asked if I’d be interested in attending An Evening of EcoGlamour on Friday, November 11. Let’s see — make-up, natural hair, hors d’oeuvres and drinks in a city I’ve always want to go to? How could I say no! So I’ll be there, and if you’re in the Pacific Northwest, you should definitely make it too.
Happy 2 B Nappy (Fort Hood/Kileen”>
This is a first-of-its-kind event taking place on a military base in Fort Hood/Kileen, TX, where 200 naturals are expected to attend this day-long expo. Hosted by the Happy 2 B Nappy Meetup group, the event will feature workshops, demonstrations, and vendors such as SheaMoisture and Huetiful. NaturallyCurly has also shipped over a lot of great goodies, so if you’re attending be sure to keep your eyes peeled for those!
