The love that I have for my daughter [inspires me] and the moments that we spend together are very strong...
Father's Day is right around the corner!
It is a time to commemorate the truly one-of-a-kind relationship you have with the paternal figure in your life. If you ask French illustrator Yannick Vincente what being Daddy to four-year-old Anaé is like, he will say, "being a dad is really hard, so why not focus on the best moments? Even if they feel stressful at the time."
Some of Vincente's latest work literally illustrates the joy of fatherhood. In it, he tells a story of growth, nurturing and above all, love. In an interview with Buzzfeed, the dad gushes about his fairly new role as Daddy. "The love that I have for my daughter [inspires me] and the moments that we spend together are very strong...I would like my daughter to be able to see these drawings when she’s old enough to understand what I wrote in them."
From bedtime to detangling, Vicente gives his fans a beautiful glimpse into his fatherhood journey. He also displays some unfinished illustrations to let us see a bit of the creating process from the perspective of an artist. Using Facebook as a tool to help inspire other parents while promoting his skillset, Yannick's Daddy drawings have received thousands of likes and shares from around the world in just a matter of weeks.
