Curl Charisma Rice Amino & Avocado Leave-In Defining Creme, $18

What They Say: Delight. Define. Defy. Hydrate, define, and de-frizz your curls with Curl Charisma™ leave-in finishing crème, specially formulated for curly to wavy tresses.  This lightweight, moisture-rich finishing crème is fortified with frizz-deterring rice amino acids, avocado oil, and nourishing quinoa extract to nurture and enhance the texture of your curls. Promotes superior curl definition, reduces frizz, enhances shine, moisture & softness.

What I say: I was so so so excited to see Briogeo make a curly styling product!! A little goes a long way with this cream. To use on wet hair, I like to apply a dime size amount per section for 6 sections after shower then scrunch. On day 2 or 3 hair I will take a quarter sized or two puddles (depending on my frizz level”> and run it through all my hair, focusing on ends to tackle any frizz and dullness that may have appeared, and to make my curly waves re curl a bit. This is another Briogeo product that gives me a significant amount of shine. Shine is a big deal for a curly wavy blonde- because achieving it is quite difficult. It also leaves my hair soft with better curl definition. Like the Curl Charisma Conditioner, aside from the already mentioned ingredients it also contains Mollis Leaf Extract and Tomato Fruit Extract which help ensure consistent curl formation and enhance curl definition. To me, this is a three in one product: leave in conditioner, styling cream & protein treatment post shower so it eliminates a few steps! I can’t use it as a sole styler though because though I notice a reduction in frizz, I still have more frizz than I care for. I’ve been using it under a gel and sealing oil (see next product”> and that combination now has been golden for practically flawless curly waves! Hopefully a curl gel will be next on Briogeo’s product development list.  I think looser hair patterns and those with fine, easily weighed down hair might be able to use this product all on it’s own. Actually, it is more than a three in one because it’s on it’s way to becoming my new second and third day reactivating hair cream now too! (side note: on second and third day hair, I usually use a refreshing spray followed up by a cream and or serum on dry hair”> Just a heads up for those who have protein sensitive hair, there are rice amino acids and quinoa protein in here.

Rosarco Oil, $24

What They Say: Miracle Hair Treatment. Rosehip, Argan Oil & Coconut Oil Blend. All natural derived formula. A lightweight oil treatment specially formulated for combating dryness and maintaining shiny, vibrant, and healthy looking hair. This ultra-intensive, miracle hair oil contains a unique blend of nutrient-rich argan, rosehip, and coconut oils for superior nourishment and radish extract for incredible shine and silkiness.

What I say: My 2 very favorite hair oils are argan and coconut so when I saw this oil had BOTH of them, plus other goodies like rosehip, radish seed extract, vitamin e, rosemary and more I was ECSTATIC! I was also super happy that because it is Briogeo, I knew the oil blend was silicone free. I don’t like when oil blends sneak silicones in their formulas. A little goes a long way with this oil. I find it to be super nourishing but not heavy, so it won’t weigh hair down. I can see finer hair types using one drop for their whole head and being good! I usually seal my wet hair with pure argan oil but have been sealing with this Rosarco oil instead. It makes an amazing wet hair sealer! I use about four drops on wet hair to seal but again, I have a lot of hair and it’s long. I am getting all the nourishing benefits of my beloved argan oil plus moisture and breakage prevention from coconut oil, UV protection and anti-oxidants from the Rosehip and additional shine from the Radish Seed Extract from this blend. This product can also be used on dry hair to add some shine or help with frizz, on the ends if you are in need of a trim and they are extra dry. Sometimes throughout the day I will use a drop on my nails and cuticles because if it’s good for the hair, it’s good for the nails and I am totally in love with the smell.

Do I Love It?

To sum it up, I am beyond impressed with these new Briogeo products! The quality of the ingredients in the products can really be seen with how well they perform! I notice with all the Briogeo products I try, I consistently am finding them leaving my hair really soft, healthy and adding a ton of shine. I think every curly girl should try these products at least once, especially if you chemically process, color treat or use heat on your hair.
