For the first time, I actually got the full curly haircut Deva curl experience.
I was so nervous about this appointment, but Annie put me right at ease.
I noticed right away that she didn't start touching my hair, only looked, while I explained my hairtype and what I wanted in a cut. She then found a picture from on her Pinterest board of what I wanted. :) She expertly cut each individual curl, washed and dried, then went back over what she had done and adjusted to how I wanted it. She didn't manhandle the curls and let them do their thing. I don't think she's a curly girl herself, but she sure knows her stuff. I fully intend to go back to her for my next cut. What a relaxing afternoon.

Jamie was amazing! She not only gave me a great cut, but she was friendly and really paid attention to what my hair was lacking. She offered up her own advice without pressuring me to try new products or anything like that. She even showed me the clip method to get lift at the roots and how to properly diffuse my hair. She recommended tips and tricks for my particular hair and was great overall. I love her friendly and welcoming personality. Definitely made my apprehension fade away almost immediately. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a curly hair specialist in the area. I will be going back for sure!

After years of struggling with stylists who didn't know how to deal with my thick curly hair, I found Jamie on this site. Like a magician she quickly transformed my unruly hair into beautiful manageable curls! After nearly two blissful years with Jamie, I had to move to another state and immediately missed her curly expertise (so sadd!!). I recently was fortunate enough to visit St. Louis and ran back to Jamie. Again, she worked her magic and transformed my hair back into the beautiful curls she had sculpted previously. Bottom Line of this story - if you have curly hair and are fortunate to be within reach of Jamie, go see her!!

After many years of walking into salons and hearing, "Have you ever tried to straighten your hair?", and seeing stylists intimidated by my hair, I read about Casey on this site about four years ago. The biggest compliment I can pay Casey is to tell everyone that I drive 6 hours twice a year just to have her "curly cut" and style my hair. No one else is allowed to touch it! After decades of battling my 3c curls, I now get compliments wherever I go. It is wonderful to walk out of the salon and actually be happy with how my hair looks. Jamie cuts my daughter's 3b curls, and she also does a great job.

I was referred to Jamie by a friend after she visited Wilson Means and saw that they had curly specialists. I have always had a hard time with my curls and a harder time finding a stylist who knew what to do with them. Thanks to Jamie that has all changed now! She gave me a great cut and showed me how to take care of my curls so they will look great every day. The salon had a very cool atmosphere and Jamie was awesome! I will be going back for sure.

When searching for a stylist, I had two major hurdles to clear: (1) I have a recurring nightmare that I will walk out a new salon with a crazy haircut that must be worn in a ponytail for 6 months and (2) I am a wash-and-wear type of girl--I do not like to needlessly fuss over my hair. When I discovered Casey 3 years ago, my stylist fears were calmed. She listens to how I want to wear my hair and offers great suggestions for how to freshen up my style. She has shown me how to easily wear my hair both straight and wavy (I have wavy hair) and given great tutorials on blow-drying, product usage, and general hair-care. She is so versatile in her cutting/coloring ability that I even send my mom and sisters to her!!

I've been going to Annie for a while now, and every time she does an amazing job!! I most recently went to see her at the new location, Wilson Means Salon---it's just a little bit further east on Manchester than the old location.
I go to Annie every six weeks or so for a cut and a highlight, and every time I'm completely happy with the way I look. She really cares about her clients and isn't happy unless you leave happy! I get compliments on my hair multiple times a week because Annie always does such a great job. Another reason I like going to Annie is because she is a fun, nice person, and makes you feel comfortable, even if you're new to the salon.
Annie has also helped me tame my usually unruly curly/wavy hair by suggesting different products and showing me different techniques to make it look its best. She recommended the Deva Curl line, and it's awesome. My hair looks great all the time, whether it's curly or straight. I've never been happier with my hair and my stylist!

This entire place is amazing! All of the stylists have very beautiful curls so you know they understand. Casey was wonderful! She dry cut everything then she ran my hair through the entire Deva process from cleansing to conditioning to gel and drying using clips and a diffuser. After drying she dry cut anything else she felt was necessary and gave me a towel and clips so I could do the same at home. I will definitely be returning; this place is just full of curly information. Thank you, Casey! :)

This place is amazing! Casey first dry cut my hair except the front. Then she ran my hair through the entire Deva process from cleansing, conditioning, and styling with gel. I just got the first haircut I think I've ever really loved! I'm used to having haircuts that usually don't look good until they grow out a little bit, but I really felt like this stylist understood my hair! She was so knowledgeable and attentive! I am completely happy with my first curly hair cut with Jamie at the Frontenac Salon and Spa! She offered me tea and gave me a complementary hair towel and clips for my hair. Jamie was very nice and explained every step of what she did to my hair so that I could maintain my hairstyle on a daily basis with the Devacurl products, even though she was did not pressure me to buy the products. I was nervous about getting alot of length cut off because of over-processed hair; but as I saw the transformation of my hair, I never felt so happy to get a hair cut. I have never felt so proud of my curls! I recieved many compliments on my hair. People were asking me" did you curl you hair?" Little did they know, my curls had always been there in the beginning. I will definitely keep going to Frontenac salon!

The Frontenac Salon & Spa is THE best salon I've ever visited. Jamie cut each of my curls one by one and took a lot of time making sure my hair looked good. When it came time to get my highlights, (pintura) her color choice and technique was absolutely perfect. She patiently explained each step of the "DevaCurl" process and could not have been nicer. She even showed me how to use the special clips to get a little extra volume. For the first time ever, I walked out of a salon feeling incredibly happy with my hair. I highly recommend the Frontenac Salon & Spa, the BEST place in St. Louis for curly girls =]

Like many curly girls, I've had bad haircut after bad haircut. No one knew how to handle my curly/frizzy hair. But that all changed today when I went to see Jamie at the Frontenac Salon and Spa.
Jamie was extremely nice and talked me through everything she was doing to my hair. Instead of doing what other salons did (straightening my hair and then cutting and layering), she cut each curl individually to shape my hair. The best part of all... she gave me my curls back!! I also received great maintenance and styling tips so I can keep maintaining my curls. I was so grateful when I left that I had my curls back. I felt super confident! I had a wonderful experience with Jamie and will definitely be back!

I am 21 years old and only had my hair cut professionally 3 times. The first two times i cried when i walked out of the salon, the third time i went to Frontenac and my God was i surprised. Jamie was awesome, she gave me a lot of useful tips and gave me the best haircut of my life. I had my hair cut quite short and it was kind of scary, but it came out perfect. I also received a complementary towel and clips. I loved every minute of being there and came out smiling and feeling HOT!! Thank you Jamie so much ill be seeing you soon.

I walk into the salon thinking my hair was unmanageable and just a big head mess. Some days I just wanted to cut it all off until talking with a stylist named Casey she talked about how to take care of my hair and preventive maintenance. She cut my hair dry and went step by step from cleansing properly to a frizzless style. I went in to the salon with lots of question expecting no answers... or for her to straighten my hair and then cut it (as other stylist have done). Instead she cut each and every curl as if they had a mind of their own and I have never been happier :)

I am new to the St. Louis area and desperately in need of a new sylist. I went to Frontenac Salon and Spa based on recommendations from this site. I was extremely pleased with the services that I received. My stylist was J.ie and she is trained by Deva and an expert on curly, wavy, and kinky hair. I have type 4a kinky-curly corkscrew hair. Jamie gave me an excellent curly cut and styled my hair with Deva products. She also made recommendations to cut down on frizz. I was offered hot tea while my hair dried. I am so glad that I live close to the salon. I used to drive over 3 hours to get my hair done. I received New York quality style at a very affordable price. Go with Jamie and you can't go wrong!

My sister started going to Casey and then she got me hooked. Casey is cute as a button and I like to believe it has rubbed off on me. (not to mention her hair is as curly as they come, she knows what she is talking about). The product line used is slowly changing my life and my curls. I wake up, shower, and go. I no longer have to sit for an hour every few mornings to straighten it. I shower, scrunch, and go. My cut was great and I feel not so heavy, so much weight was taken out but my hair looks full and not frizzy! My color is shinny and it was all reasonably priced. For the area, I expected it to cost more. The salon was great. I felt like I was sitting with my best friends I have not seen in years. I give Casey two thumbs up.

I found Frontenac Salon while searching the web for a curl expert and I am so glad I did! The stylists there have trained with Lorraine Massey so they really know the Deva products inside and out! My stylist Jamie was very helpful and patient in teaching me the "curly girl" process and she gave me an awesome cut! Kim and Jessica had some helpful tips for me too! It was the first time I left the salon truly loving every bit of my curls!
