Karen is an outstanding stylist with a wealth of experience. She has cut & colored my hair for 10+ years. When she first worked with me, my hair was thick, short & straight. It is now long with natural waves. She has done a superb job accommodating the challenges of my current thick & wavy hair. Karen continually strives to expand her professional knowledge. She attends classes on new techniques, particularly for color application & methods for cutting different types of hair. When she learns something that might make my hair easier to maintain, she makes suggestions, but implements only what I am willing to try. She assesses my preferences & thoroughly explains the pros & cons of using a different technique on my hair. Karen is very personable & creates a positive & relaxed setting. For me to remain with the same stylist for this long demonstrates her skills & talent. I have the utmost confidence in Karen & highly recommend her.

Karen had been my stylist for many years. She is wonderful! She keeps current with the latest techniques, styles and products to offer her clients. I get highlights and color and Karen always does a great job! TJs is very nice, offering coffee, water, and treats. The salon also has a modern look with nice decor and often has fresh flowers. I would like to mention that Sonia always does a wonderful job washing my hair and gives an amazing scalp massage while shampooing when time allows!

Karen is the best! I followed her here from another salon. Great cuts and fabulous colors. She knows how to push me a little beyond my "usual," but not crazy "out there." She's also VERY knowledgeable about new products and makes great recommendations for my hair and style specifically. A great stylist and a great salon!

Love, love, love the way Karen at TJ's does my hair. The color and cut techniques are always innovative, artistic and exciting. I've been going to Karen for quite a few years after her expertise was highlighted in an article about curly hair in Washingtonian Magazine's salon issue. A rare treat to find a stylist with a similar curly texture to mine, who can also style my hair smooth and straight. An excellent colorist who stays educated as to new cut and color techniques, she's a lively personality who's a lot of fun.(All at TJ's seem friendly and talented.) And Karen listens closely to what you want -- a rare trait. My latest visit not only left me with a sophistcated, easy-to-manage cut, but gave my hair oomph with a change of base color and multi-dimensional hoghlights. Like I said, love, love, LOVE!

I have been going to see Karen Espichan for years, and I would highly recommend her for especially for CURLY hair and Deva curl haircuts and coloring! No one can cut and style my hair like she dose, then I get tons of compliments after a cut. She always listens to my ideas and even when I am not sure what I want she gives me GREAT recommendations and I always leave happy! I love Karen and I will always trust her with my hair!
