I went into this salon for a haircut earlier this month.  Stacie Green is no longer here, but I spoke with someone who said she had 20 years of experience cutting curly hair.  After reading about all the advantages of dry cutting, I was excited to get my new haircut.  Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the worst cuts I've ever had.  It is certainly in the bottom three.  My stylist was very friendly, but she over texturized my hair (I had no idea she was texturizing at all, my hair hates it).  After my curls wouldn't clump and were terribly frizzy.  I went back to my regular girl who gave me a wet cut and corrected as much as she could, but some of the frizziness from the texturizing just needs to grow out.  I was really disappointed and wanted to share my experience.

I travelled from Idaho Falls to have my hair cut here, and I was not disappointed. This is the first time I have come out of a salon happy with the results. With immensely thick hair with multiple curl patterns, I didn't think I'd ever find someone who would know how to cut it. I was very impressed. I recommend her fully.

What an unexpected blessing to find a Devachan Curl Certified stylist in the same town I live in!! I had been looking to try a Deva cut for my natural curls, and especially without having to drive to another town to do so. With the wonder of internet, I found this salon in Loveland where Stacie just started practicing after living and styling/cutting hair in Chicago and Jackson Hole, Wy. I was honored to be her first client on her first day in salon she just started working at...and it was a delightful experience. Stacie is very well versed in curly cuts having trained in New York. She was careful with my curls and listened to what I wanted. She is a great find and I will recommend her to my curly friends! : )

I'm so excited to have found Stacie in Jackson, WY! I had just about given up on my curly, thick, frizzy hair until I found Stacie. I've spent many years getting my haircut at various salons and always feeling dissatisfied with the results. I was so excited and impressed that Stacie cut my hair dry instead of wet, like all my previous cuts. I love the results and couldn't be happier with my hair! She also gave great advice on different products that worked well for my hair and helpful tips on how to properly take care of my curls. Very satisfied customer! Thank you Stacie!

Just want to tell you lucky folks in the Wilson/Jackson WY & East Idaho area that a great curly-hair stylist has moved into your area. My loss (I'm in the northern Chicago suburbs) is your gain. Stacie Green has been my stylist for many years. Helped me go from hating my curls to loving them. I had always thought of my hair as hopelessly frizzy, sort of Brillo-pad-like. Stacie found the "Botticelli curly girl" in me and kept my hair looking great, often garnering compliments from strangers, through times of long hair and into my current short hair phase. As you've read, Stacie cuts curly hair dry, lifting each curl and cutting it with its natural curve. The result is a natural style that still looks good long after the cut. This is unlike many stylists who insist on cutting hair wet, straight across each handful of hair, leaving the hair looking nice in the salon, but, as we all know, never reproducible after the first washing. The products Stacie recommends (always helpfully -- never any push to sell) do not make the hair stiff or unpleasant, just naturally smooth and bouncy. She also listens to your feedback on styling or products, and incorporates your experience into her practice. (For example, we learned together to use just a very little bit of the Kinky Kurly stuff.) And she willingly learns from you about the individual issues you may have with your hair. She's also a warm and lovely person. I'll miss you, Stacie, but I know you'll keep those Wyoming and Idaho curly girls looking great and feeling great about themselves. -- Jennifer (yes, I'm Friar Tuck)

Stacie is amazing! I am so glad to have stumbled upon this website and discover her. As a curly girl, I know that finding the right stylist is not an easy task. I had been seeing the same stylist for over 20 years. While I liked him as a stylist, I didn't like the way he ran his business. When I found Stacie, I wasn't emotionally ready to try a new stylist. Since my mom is also a curly girl, I used her as my guinea pig. Within 5 minutes of watching and listening to Stacie as she cut my mom's curls, I was hooked! It has been (and will continue to be) the best decision I have ever made about about my hair! Thanks Stacie!

I rarely ever give reviews on anything, but I am beyond satisfied by my experience with Stacie, so I had to say something. I have never gone to a hair dresser with such an understanding of my curls. I had also never had my hair dry cut before, but swear by it now. Stacie listens to what you want, and she satisfies that in the way she knows how. She experienced in curl maintenance (unlike many hair dressers that cut curls with little-to-no knowledge of the kind of care they require) and she is worth every cent. I look forward to my appointment with her today knowing that I am in good hands.

Just got my first truly great curly haircut! I decided to cut my hair really short and was scared that someone is going to butcher me again. Last time I tried a short hair style was 13 years ago and it was a total disaster and I was afraid to cut it short ever since (stylist brush-straightened my hair so of course when my hair curled up it looked nothing like her creation)... But Stacie did an amazing job!!! She cut off around 7-9 in of my hair and I just love the result! She also advised me which products to use and was very patient listening to what I want. Even though I paid a little more than I expected ($70 for cutting and styling), it was well worth it, because she took time with me, did such a great job and curl-educated me as well. Viva Stacie! ;)))

I saw Stacie today at Mane Cutters. I got 7-9 inches of my hair chopped off and I couldn't be happier!!! She cut my hair dry like I expected, then washed with No Poo and put in KC styling products before sitting me under the drying with low heat for about 20 minutes. She finished up the drying with a diffuser. I liked it. It was okay. But I wasn't satisfied. I wanted it a little shorter. So she re-cut it. She's very patient and listens and advises. She aims to please and its obvious that she wants you to be happy when you walk out. AND she gave me a military discount!!! Definitely going back!

I found out about this salon today via naturallycurly.com and immediately made an appointment to get a much needed haircut. My hair really was a "mane." I loved its fullness, but it had no shape. As it continued to grow both outward and in length it became more and more difficult to manage, not to mention the damage it was doing to all of my bathroom drains. I've never been comfortable with anyone cutting my hair since I've been natural (3yrs) because everyone I go to wants to treat my hair the same way they treat straight hair: soak it, pull it taut, and cut the ends straight across, all done with a fine tooth comb. And then they have the nerve to look at me like it's *my* fault their comb snapped in half. This time, however, was completely different. Stacie sat me down in her chair, sectioned off parts of my hair, and started snipping away. No combs, no water, no pulling! She meticulously focused on each curl, how it lay against my head, and judged where to cut it based on those factors alone (from what I can tell). This makes the process take a bit longer than your average haircut, but it is well worth the wait. Stacie's a delight to talk to, she doesn't try to push retail on you, and you can tell that she's completely focused on doing things right. After the cut, she washed me and set me under the dryer for about 20 minutes. Then we sat in her chair again and she had me evaluate the cut based on how it lay naturally after being soaked. I had her tweak a few things here and there, but not too much. I had the cut I wanted. I am totally satisfied with her work and I will recommend her to everyone I know.

I've been to Staci three or four times now, and I would not go anywhere else!! This last time my hair was a mess. After having a baby and my hair getting thinner and losing some of its curl, I was at a loss and had started wearing hats and scarves because I just couldn't style it. But Staci fixed it!! she gave me a really cute cut that makes it look like I have more volume than I actually have. I was just so relieved that she was able to understand the situation. I agree with all the previous things mentioned. Staci is so fun and easy to talk to, the prices are VERY reasonable, and on top of that with a good cut you do not have to go back for 3-4 months. I recommend Staci to anyone with curly hair!

OMG! I'm so happy now, I don't know what to do with myself! Stacie did a fabulous job on my hair and my 14 year old son's hair! We've flown to NY, Boston and driven 3 hrs each way to Green Bay to see a Ouidad stylist. All did a great job, but costly and impossible to keep up. Now, with Stacie and her Deva cut, we can look good and be just around the corner from our house! Stacie, you leave me, I'm going to hunt you down! LOL

I have been to all the NYC curly salons - Deva, Ouidad... and Stacie is hands-down better than the stylist at those salons. She is incredibly friendly and easy to talk to vs the attitude you find at many other salons. The salon is low-key and no frills, which is fine - I much prefer a stylist who listens to me and remembers me and my hair issues! I highly reccomend Stacie!

This is my first review here, and my first-ever deva cut! I went in pretty much with the idea of "please just fix this, however long it takes." The salon itself is a mom-and-pop stop, which doesn't bother me in the slightest. If you are looking for something upscale, this place might not fit the bill. But Stacie's cuts do! My hair was flat, barely curly and looking particularly sad. She was very vocal in discussing the cuts I had had in the past, where my hair was and where it could be with the correct cut, etc. She used all deva products and wasn't pushy AT ALL about purchasing product. She gave me samples to try. PLUS, she told me that she actually has two price points...one that is just a cut and another that adds a wash and dry. Very pleased!

My two kids and I have been using Stacie since the day she returned from her class in NY. We have been to the salon in NY and she is next best thing to a NY haircut. She is talented and patient and is very easy to talk to about what you want and want to change. She is very anxious to learn from her clients that have been managing our curls longer than she has. Some stylist are intimidating and think they know it all, but that is what is great about Stacie, she will take your comments and suggestions and learn from them. I continue to reccommend her to other curly heads and everyone is pleased with the result.
