FINALLY found my hair stylist!
Vanessa took the time to give me tips on products and shared some tricks to help style my hair quickly and easily. She's amazing! I had a horrible hair cut a few months ago and Vanessa easily fixed it. She listened attentively during the consultation to make sure we were both on the same page. She gave me more volume while keeping the length long. I will definitely be sticking with her! (And my cut was only $35!) She talked about a class she had recently done with aveda for curly/wavy hair and infused new layering techniques on my hair. Vanessa really has a passion for what she does, and eagerly continues to learn and it shows in her work. I'm so happy with the results! Go see her!
The service at Salon Nouveaux was amazing. As soon as I walked in I was greeted, checked in, and offered a beverage. They offered to let you try their lipgloss before leaving (awesome feeling after a haircut/style, completes the look!) and due to the rain the ladies at the front desk offer to walk customers to their car with an umbrella. Great salon all around!

My previous stylist moved out of state so I saw Vanessa for the first time on her recommendation. Vanessa spent alot of time on the initial consolation, explaining exactly what she was going to do to combat a few issues I had been having while trying to transition to a longer style. She made sure I was comfortable with her plan to change the way my layers were cut to eliminate some heaviness in my shape. She even had a new technique (that seemed to work) for cutting my side bangs which always lay a bit weirdly due to a weaker curl pattern. Needless to say, I am thrilled with the subtle changes that were made and will definately return to Vanessa for my next cut.

I don't know what the deal is with the lady's post before me, but I saw Vanessa today and she did a WONDERFUL job! Maybe Vanessa was having a bad day (which can happen to anyone), but I am so pleased to have learned new ways to control my curl! Not only did she give me just what I wanted she was well educated on how to cut and style my hair. She also knew a lot about the Aveda products. The salon itself was very cute, nestled in behind the main drag of Bluemound Rd. I defenitley recommend you see VANESSA. Don't let one bad review sway your decision when she has so many great ones!

I have not had a hair cut this bad since the 7th grade. I have thick and curly hair. I asked for about 4 inches taken off, and I ended up with eight inches taken off!!!! There are hardly any layers, so everything is still very tick, and I can barely pull it back in a poneytail, and when I do I get these stringy little hairs that fall out and look horrible. To top the whole hair cut off, I left the salon with frizzy fro like curls. What kind of stylist lets someone walk with frizzy hair? I will NEVER go back to this salon, and I advise anyone reading to NEVER see Vanessa. She obviously just did what she wanted to and disregarded what we had discussed and what I wanted.

I'm a 3A, CG for 2 months, and had my hair cut yesterday by Vanessa. She seemed knowledgeable about curly hair and explained how she cuts it and why. After she cut it, she explained which products she was using, how she was using them, and what they would do. She dried my hair with a diffuser and it really turned out cute, but I'm never sure until after I wash and style it myself. So, I did it myself today, using my own products, and it looks amazing! She totally maximized my curls and I'm really happy with the haircut. Also, her price was very reasonable - $29 plus tip. I will definitely go back to Vanessa. It was worth a bit of extra travel to get a good haircut.

My experience at Salon Nouveaux was refreshing. In the past I went to numerous salons that didn't know a thing about curly hair. From cutting hair, to products, to even styling. I can say I never liked how my hair was cut before i went here. Vanessa did a fantastic job! The hair cut started with a massage, then we talked about what i wanted and my hair's history. She washed my hair with Aveda products, which i'm not familar with beacuse I use Redkin, but I did like Aveda. By far the best part was the way she styled my hair. i loved it! this salon is also pretty cheap. Style, Cut, and tip = $35
even though i live 30 min away i will be traveling to brookfield from now on for my haircut apptment =)

Went to Robym based on the comments here. I saw her once and give her very clear instructions, i.e. no excessive layering, no texturizing, etc and received a GREAT haircut. Fast forward to 6 months later when I saw her again, I made the mistake of assuming that she made notes about the stuff we had talked so extensively about at my first visit and let her do her thing. I received a bad cross between a soccer mom cut and the 90's Rachel from Friends cut. It's truly so bad that I'm having it recut into a long bob this week by someone else, and this with hair that was bra-strap length. I'm so completely annoyed that I could never recommend anyone see her.

Vanessa was great. This is the best cut & highlight I've ever had. She asked questions & had great suggestions. She was confident in her technique that I had never seen (used scissors instead of razor to decrease fly aways). She updated a style that I've had for too many years and have been asking my other stylist to do. Instructions for the style were great -- something I can do and encouraged me to call w/ questions if I forgot something. Andy Rowe, owner, also stopped by to see how everything was going. Quite the customer oriented salon. Salon Nouveau is also an Aveda Concept Salon & my cut included a wonderful scalp massage w/ shampoo & hand massage. The price was also quite reasonable. Call Vanessa. You'll love your new look!

Curly girl or not, Analisa will get the job done right! For many years I've searched in vain for a knowledgable stylist who could not only give me a nice cut and a decent style, but one who would truly work with me to get the best out of my hair. Thanks to the recommendations here, I finally found Analisa. She truly knows her stuff and clearly loves her work. She asked me lots of questions before she even started cutting and did a really nice job. She offered lots of great tips on caring for my curls as well as for styling them. My husband did hours of research to find a stylist who could work with really curly thick hair (after years of complaints from me ; ) He found Analisa at the salon mentioned above and took me there for a wonderful pampering session. After 25 years of bad cuts and total frustration, I went to Analisa with neglected locks but a hopeful spirit.
I did my research in advance and presented Analisa with several photos of a style I loved. She spent lots of time talking with me about the pros and cons of that particular cut, modified her angle accordingly, and showed me various products and techniques that will help me maintain the look until my next cut. Hers is an Aveda salon, but she didn't push the sale of those products too hard.
I'll definitely visit Analisa for my regular maintenance trims because she's *by far* the best stylist I've ever visited. I totally trust her to make my hair look its best and highly recommend any curly girl visit her at Salon Nouveaux. She's the best thing that ever happened to my hair!
