Since September 2014, Jon and Carrie have left the salon for bigger and better adventures in Hawaii. Jon was my hair stylist for 5 years while I was in school at the University of Minnesota and is the best hair dresser I have had thus far! He worked with me as I changed my hair style from long and curly to a short pixie. He always knew what I wanted, even when I didn't know it yet. He is definitely missed now that he is gone from the salon, it was hard to see him go so far away!

Carrie is the best stylist I have ever found for my curly hair! She is patient and detailed and knows how to make my hair look really good.
Not only that, I wanted to take my dyed brown hair to its natural gray/silver but I did NOT want to cut my hair since it takes it so long to grow and get any length due to how curly it is. Carrie took me through a step by step process and I now have silver hair! Amazing.
She is leaving Minneapolis and moving to Honolulu and I am really sad to see her go! I hope Hawaii appreciates who they are getting!

I have been going to see my very favorite curly hair specialist Sam for a while now and she recently moved to Salon Stella. WOW this place is Awesome. The decor is very well put together, like shabby chic meets industry. You can even have a cocktail while you get beautified! Super exited to go back!

I absolutely love this salon. Carrie fixed my hair that a previous stylist at this same salon had screwed up prior to her leaving. Carrie is really friendly, personable, and knowledgeable when it comes to curly hair. She listened to what I wanted, gave me an awesome cut, and fixed my hair!!!

I had the same hairstyle for the past 7 years (long layers, my hair was bra strap length) and needed a change. Ande had great suggestions and styling tips, and really listened to what I was looking to do. Like most curlies, after a cut I usually end up going home and re doing my hair, but not with Ande. I think Ande has given me the best haircut I've ever had! She really knows how to cut and style curly hair.

She's incredibly talented, professional and confidence-inspiring. She gets and likes working with curly hair and is a big advocate of proper curl maintenance. Salon Stella itself is a gem--eclectic, relaxing, cozy and unpretentious. The online booking system is convenient...and the complimentary wine, beer and coffee is a nice touch, too.
