I went here by reccomendation of the previous critique.
I thought Stephanie was basic. She gave me a basic cut. She didn't have techniques that focus on working with the TEXTURE itself. So the curls don't flow as well as could be. I've had good cuts on Newbury st. I wanted to try something more local. It's hard to find good local talent. People are just not up on keeping up with the current cutting techniques for curly hair.

Stephanie has been taming my curly head for three years, first at Philip Ciampa Salon in Lexington, and now in her own salon in Lexington Center. She works with my curl to give me a style that I can wash, shake and wear, even though my hair is past-shoulder-length. She also carries a wide range of products for all types of hair, and is really great at picking the ones for your curl type.
Stephanie is also a tremendous color expert; I have had to cover some, ahem, gray since I started going to Stephanie and she started me off on a wash-out shade to experiment, and we gradually went permanent.
