I called Mayapple a few days before Christmas, and was pleasantly surprised that they could take me that same day!  Jacque was great, and gave me a great cut on short notice.  I hadn't had a cut in about a year, and she was able to get all the dead stuff gone and lighten me up.  I'm happy with it, and I'll be a repeat customer for sure!

When I called Mayapple 2 days before Thanksgiving, I didn't have high hopes that I would be able to snag an appointment. To my surprise, Melissa quickly found a spot for me and within 24 hours of calling I was en route to Mayapple. 

It's important to note the state of my hair upon entering the salon - it had been at least 2 years since I'd had a proper cut. To say my hair was dead is certainly an understatement. I explained to Melissa that I wanted to get rid of all the unhealthy hair but that I was fearful of ending up with the same A-line bob that so many people are rocking as of late. 

Melissa was incredible from the moment I walked in until the moment I left. She pulled up references on her i pad to confirm that she and I were on the same page before getting to work. When it was all said and done, it was clear that Melissa had customized my hair rather than merely cutting it. 

I say all this to say that I have never walked out of a salon feeling so good. Melissa listened to everything I had to say, added her own genius expertise into the mix, and the outcome was flawless. I am so thankful that Melissa was able to fit me in when she did. She's found a loyal customer and I will be screaming her praises from the rooftops until kingdom come.

I went to Amanda on the recommendation of a fellow curly-haired friend. With a few pictures on my phone, Amanda was able to create the perfect cut for me. I appreciated that she took the time to listen to me describe my typical routine and my knowledge of my own hair. Getting my hair washed was pure luxury! And I left with a style that had me wanting to gush my thanks even weeks later, definitely my favorite cut ever! Will be returning ASAP for my summer cut!

The owner recommended Amanda to me, if that tells you anything.  I had called the salon because I had stopped 2 women with amazing curly hair in public (on 2 separate occasions) to ask them what hair salon they used, and both of them said Mayapple!  I have been so pleased with Amanda!  She spends over and hour on my hair each time and does a dry cut, which is necessary for curly hair.  You see, I was tired of hairstylists telling me they knew what to do with curly hair, and ending up with a frizzy bad shape.  My hair stays great for months when Amanda cuts it!  And here are some bonuses:  she is kind, down to earth (which may not sound like a big deal but sure makes sitting for an hour more pleasant), and will listen closely to what YOU want.  If I ever move away, I will drive back for Amanda to cut my hair!

Amanda has been cutting and styling my curly hair for years!!! When she moved to a Fayetteville salon, I tried someone else. What a mistake!! Amanda knows my hair and does a fantastic job! She is also very friendly and easy to talk to, which is a big plus. Amanda also cuts my daughter's hair which is super curly and very thick and my oldest son's hair (when he finally breaks down to my pleading) - He has a very thick head of tight curls which he wears long. Amanda cuts his dry which makes a difference in shaping and the health of the curls.

Best curly hair cut EVER ! I had previously had a bad experience at another salon and my hair was a little rough looking, Andi did a dry cut and it is fantastic! I'm in love with my new cut and have gotten so many compliments on it. Will definitely be coming back.

I have curly hair and I used to get my hair cut by Roxie. She used to do such a great job with my hair and used to give me a beautiful haircut each time. She used to cut my hair dry. After Roxie left, I got my hair cut by Andi and she did not do a good job at all. I am not at all pleased with my new haircut. It is extremely short and shapeless. I am a disappointed customer.

I was so excited to find a salon in Fayetteville with such a great rating on your site. I called the salon and was told Roxie is no longer taking clients. My dreams almost dashed, the girl told me that there was another stylist who had been training to take over for Roxie. Not going to lie- I was nervous. Was she a new stylist? Would I be her first curly cut? Still reluctant, I made the appointment. I am so glad I did! Andi is so sweet and friendly- I could tell I would like her from the start. I was put at ease when I found out she is a veteran stylist who really knows her stuff! She gave such a great consultation. Listened to my concerns, what has worked, what hasn't worked, made me feel so comfortable. And let me tell you- MY CURLS HAVE NEVER LOOKED BETTER! Do yourself a favor and give Andi a call! You will love the salon too- vintage feel but very hip.
