I am a Courtney loyalist. This woman is amazing and trustworthy. I no longer live in Portland, but when I come visit, Courtney is my must-see. She is trained in devacut but she is not pushing products. She is passionate and knowledgeable and gives extremely personalized advice. And she's hella sweet and has great prices to boot!

Thanks to Naturally Curly I found Courtney. Alleluia! She's not only the sweetest, most straightforward stylists I've encountered but lady knows her business! It was incredibly easy to contact her directly, talk about my hair needs/wants, and set up an appointment. I've been a follower of the curly girl method, albeit lazily, for about two years. My previous stylist moved and while she had cut my hair dry, she never in a million years came close to making me as happy with my hair as Courtney. I left the salon last night feeling ahhh-mazing. My curls are gorgeous. Real, bouncy, beauty, hydrated (2c/3a?) curls. Courtney made sure I was comfortable with the cut, gave me awesome layers for my now shoulder length hair, and made sure to explain everything step by step. I was familiar with most of the techniques Courtney used but she did a great job of explaining why she used the techniques she did - the outcome was perfect. She doesn't push products and is incredibly generous with her pricing, too! Love her!

If I could give Courtney more than a 5 out of 5 I would, this was easily the best haircut of my life. Courtney took the time to listen to my goals with my hair and to talk me through the choices she was making as she was cutting, styling and picking products for my hair type. She was encouraging and truly understands the challenges and benefits of curly hair. Not only did she do a great job refreshing my hairstyle but she also went above and beyond to teach me techniques to keep my hair healthy, tailoring them to what I had told her my hair goals were. Not once did I feel like she was rushing or worrying about getting another client in after me, she made me feel like my business was the most important she would have all day. I left more informed and definitely feeling like showing off my curls!

If you are skeptical, GO SEE COURTNEY. After having either crappy, mediocre or boring haircuts by people who claim to know how to cut curly hair, it's hard not to doubt. 

Man, was I wrong! This woman is a genius with curly hair. She KNOWS curly hair. It's hard to explain, but she understands it, that is, she knows how to cut and shape so the hair falls exactly how you want it to fall. She also asks about your experience of your hair and aspirations about it.

Courtney definitely gave me THE BEST haircut I've ever had, and that's no exaggeration. She did exactly what I wanted, gave me awesome volume with definition, and also exceeded all my expectations. Her technique is flawless. She also shows you the best way to style hair for perfect curls that lasted 3 and almost 4 days.
She is also amazing with straight and wavy hair, and hairdos.

Courtney, you have a talent. So happy to have found you. If you move, I will follow you anywhere!

IIf you're in need of a CurlyGirl sylist, look no further, Courtney is your -go-to-CurlGirl ! She knows her curls on her girls, I am proof of that. I went in with some Wild & Crazy Hair, by the time Courtney walked me through the steps she was going to take with my "mop", and actually proceeded with her steps, my MOP was no longer a MOP ! My hair turned out great! My salt & pepper, sassy curls move to their own rythm, yet they are tamed. I found the BEST curly girl for my hair. I highly recommend Courtney , you won't be sorry!

After visit salon after salon, "curl expert" after "curl expert," I am here to report that FINALLY, after all this time, I have found the most amazing, incredible, unbelievably knowledgeable curly hair specialist I have ever known. Courtney is amazing, there are not enough words to describe how wonderful she is and how happy I am. I have been through the absolute worst experiences with my hair. In just one visit, Courtney taught me all about my curls and the extreme care and love and attention they need. She is the first stylist to ever cut my hair properly, I honestly couldn't believe what a difference the right cut made! She taught me how to use the right products in order to add protein and strength back into my damaged, dry, broken, over processed hair. Best of all, she was completely straight forward about what we can and cannot do with my hair right now. I am dying to go back to a lighter color, but due to the horrendous breakage from awful experiences in the past, she kindly explained the moves we can and cannot make at this time, all in the very best interest of the health of my hair. I completely trust her plans for my curls, and could not be more ecstatic to have found this girl.

I just had my first haircut from Courtney, and I predict this to be a long and fruitful relationship. She's wonderful! I got a fantastic haircut and I can't wait to try the new "curly girl" techniques she shared with me. She spent time, listened to my ideas and concerns, and worked with me to get the best style for my curls. She loves hair, loves curls and loves to share her knowledge and expertise. I can't recommend her enough!

Courtney is clearly passionate about curly hair, and took the time to study my hair type and cut it accordingly. She came to my home, which was wonderful, and spent over 2 hours with me, cutting & explaining curl care. She also delivered conditioner and product a week later when I decided to purchase some.
