As naturals we are spoiled for choice when it comes to our products - specifically our gels. No matter how picky our curls are there is something for everyone be it all natural, paraben free or silicon laden for extra slip.

Because of all of this choice, when the time comes to try something new, we often find ourselves with a ridiculously long wish-list trying to make the hard decision between groceries or hair products.

While we can't tell you exactly what products will work for your hair we can give you some pointers to help you choose a great new gel to experiment with by letting you know which one outshine the others in each category.

I love aloe vera gel for the way it makes my hair feel...soft, moisturized, just enough hold, but it's not super great for keeping a hold on frizz. My new fave is eco styler gel (argan oil) mixed with a little castor oil because it is making my curls go crazy. Like seriously though, no crunch at all, awesome hold, and super delicious softness! I am going to try making some flax seed gel soon though due to all the great things I've heard about it.
My favorite all time gel is Ampro ProStyl Olive Oil Gel. For a cream or pudding my fave is Cream and Coco Curls for Days Hair pudding and then Honey Chile Hair Love. I want to try the Eco Custard, but I haven't seen it in my area. Great article!!
