Soak in a Relaxing Lavender Honey Milk Bath
For a relaxing bath, just add milk.
Honey milk baths have been around for ages, and with good reason. It leaves the skin soft and smooth, and can be very relaxing. All you need is whole milk, honey, and a couple of tablespoons of dried lavender (you can find this in the spice section or specialty stores). Mix 1½ cups of whole milk and 1/3 cup of honey. Pour the honey milk mix into your hot bath, and toss in some of the dried lavender to give your bath a soothing aroma. Simply hop in and soak for as long as you want!
Refresh with an Avocado Mask Facial
Good for your skin, inside or out.
Getting a facial is one the most fun and refreshing things to do at a spa. You can do it yourself by making an all-natural avocado skin mask. All you need is half of an avocado (mashed), and one egg yolk. Beat the egg yolk until light and foamy. Mix the avocado and egg yolk together with a blender or a whisk to create your mask. You do not want the mixture to be too thick. If you have oily skin, add an egg white and a splash of lemon juice.
Be sure to wash your face with your daily face wash before applying the mask. After you have washed your face and dried it, you are ready for your mask. Using your fingers, apply the avocado mixture to your face and neck evenly, massaging your skin as you go. Lie down and relax for about half an hour. For an extra relaxing experience, place chilled cucumber slices over your eyes to get rid of puffiness. After 30 minutes, rinse your mask off with cool water to reveal your revitalized skin.
Deep Condition That Hair You Pulled All Week
Treat your hair like an athlete and condition well.
Take time to deep condition your hair and untangle all those worries of yours. You can make an all natural deep conditioner with two easy ingredients! Use the other half of that avocado you used for your facial and one cup of mayonnaise. The natural oils in both the avocado and mayo will moisturize your hair and leave it soft and smooth. Mix the two together until you have a minty green color.
Before you deep condition, make sure to shampoo and rinse your hair. Detangle your hair with a wide-toothed comb to keep from damaging you hair. Organize your hair by separating it into quadrants using hair clips to pin it up. Working quadrant by quadrant, apply the avocado-mayo mix to your scalp. Work a thin film of the conditioner from your scalp to your ends, concentrating on your ends if your hair is especially damaged. Pile your hair on top of your head, using hair clips, and cover your head with a shower cap, or you can even use plastic wrap! Leave the conditioner in for 15-20 minutes. Use this time to relax and sip on a cup of tea or watch your favorite TV show. When you are ready to rinse, be sure to rinse your hair thoroughly with cool water. Cool water will help to close the hair shaft, trapping in the moisture your hair craves.
