On the floor at Bronner Bros.
If you’ve seen the movie “Good Hair” with Chris Rock, then you know about this event. The Bronner Bros. Hair Show is one of the hair industry’s most respected, not to mention extravagant, events, happening twice a year in Atlanta. Last weekend’s show didn’t veer from tradition. From the extravagant hairstyles, from 5 feet in the air to contraptions spinning around, to the hair battles amongst the country’s best stylists, the show was quite a spectacle.
Even though Bronner Bros is known for hairstyles that you would never see on the streets, you can find thousands of hairstylists from around the country making salon purchases including products, styling tools and extensions galore. Every other booth included extensions of all textures and colors. This year, the curly textures seem to be ever-so-popular as ladies love to emulate a naturally curly texture.
Aside from the extensions and tools, several new and old products were there. Retailers discounted their products and you could get awesome deals on Jane Carter, Curls, and Mixed Chicks—the few lines representing for the curly girls.
We saw several tool and product companies that were working on curly girls, but a lot seemed to straighten their hair with this year’s new hottest tools.
All in all, this is a great place overall for hair but if you are looking for many companies that cater to curly girls, this may not be your best bet. You will, however, enjoy the experience and get to pick up some products and some styling tools.
